Description
Ibiza-style cushion cover of the JEANS theme inspired by vintage style denim and the hippy markets of Ibiza.
Gert: "I wanted to do something with different fabrics in unexpected combinations. For my 2020 collection I bought a new size filling: 40 cm x 60 cm. Beautiful on a large spacious sofa! For the cushion Mix Match Jeans I used four different fabrics for the front: a thin jeans cotton with embroidered flowers (which I called Flower Power Jeans), a woven wool/polyester fabric with images of crockery (Delft Blue) and a white cotton with images of shells, starfish and seahorses (Beach Day). For the back I used a pair of heavy dark blue denim (which I called Dark Jeans), which I washed first, so that it no longer gives off in the wash! I also made of each fabric square cushions, so that they combine well again.
I found the fabric of the Flower Power Jeans cushion in Antwerp and bought it embroidered. Unique, because I only made two!"
